My hosting provider has mod_rewrite enabled, but they tell me it is "just not visible" to the cms. Is there a way to disable/fake the mod_rewrite check on installation so that I can install anyway?

Yep i did the gav + admin. unzipped in the root folder. So what sould i do to check its running? I go to "localhost/grav-admin/index.php" 0r "localhost/grav-admin" i get an error - Object not found! T
