Admin not working on mac

I did a clean install, on a Mac. I've added a new user and installed the admin plugin (+ dependencies were added too). The basic page works, however, if I navigate to the /admin url, nothing happens. What am I missing?

We all develop on macs so it's not specific to the platform :) I suspect you have a 404 error, if so check this troubleshooting page
