Can't upload .htaccess file using FileZilla

I'm trying to upload my clients Grav site. I'm using FileZilla FTP for an IIS server, but i can't seem to upload the .htaccess file. The error is just something like "can't upload file". Changing the name and renaming it afterwards doesn't work either: now it responds "550 .htaccess Forbidden filename."

Is this a problem I can solve? Or do I better contact my hosting provider?

I would send a mail to the hosting provider, if the problem only concerns .htaccess it seemingly is an issue with the . as all Windows systems have.
