Link from modular page not being rendered

Hi, I am using the Woo skeleton and in the Features page, I wish to link some of the text to detailed content in other pages. However the link is not being rendered correctly. It simply shows the exact markdown text in the browser. In fact it appears none of markdown formatting works. How to fix?

Note that the above page where I want to put the links (Features) is a modular page.
