Error message/red panel in admin screen

Hi, just installed Grav and am really liking the look of it - unfortunately I'm getting an error in the admin plugin after each 'save'. A red panel appears briefly with:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /gv/admin/notifications.json/task:processNotifications
on this server.

And underneath:

Additionally, a 403 Forbidden
error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any ideas how to fix this at all? Sorry if it's an obvious question, I'm self taught with this kind of thing and this one has me stumped! gv is the folder where I installed grav. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated.
