Installing Grav on own server issues

Hi all,

You'll have to excuse me, I'm not so great with the back-end so I might be missing something really simple, i just don't know what it could be.

I followed the steps to instal grav on a new digital ocean server just fine, and got the default grav build showing on my server. What I thought I should do next is replace the html folder, which contained the grav data I just installed, with my own grav build (the folders and files looked the same, so I just assumed it would work), but alas it didn't work and I have no idea why.

Hopefully someone has had a similar issua and can point me in the right direction 🙂
Thanks!

Hi @jamie, there is an invisible .htaccess file in the root Grav folder... was this copied over too?

Hi Paul, thanks for your reply.

It was at my first attempt, but on my second attempt on a fresh droplet I only uploaded files within my /user and /images folders and everything seems to be working just fine!

Just had a peek within the .htaccess file and seems like there are some things I can change in there.

Thanks again
