I have had some grav sites working in the past. Recently, my rpi SD Card failed on me and I had to reinstall fresh. I have now installed Raspbian Stretch with the latest Ngnix 1.10 and seems to be running fine. However, when I try to load any of the grav site, I can only access the root. If I access any other page, it brings me back to the root page.
The nginx config file I used is from the write up on how to install ngnix on a rpi written by one of the staffs here.
