Installation failed after unzipping "Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/site on line 10

Hello everyone,

I am a new to Grav, i try to install it by unzipping the zip file into a folder placed on the root.
When I try to open it by pointing at this folder, I only get:
Parse error : syntax error, unexpected T_STRING in /home/tgzcxsur/www/thierrygoyard/grav-skeleton-twenty-site/index.php on line 10

I am stuck (never reach a grav page actually, just the error message) because my knowledge is very limited.
Could you give me pointers?

are you sure you have the minimum requirements for grav?

maybe it is a server problem. So you can find answers in this article 503 Service Unavailable - fix it
