Plugin to create a new post quickly

When I want to create a new blog post, I click on the new page button, select "Blog" as parent, and manually select the page type from the theme. Does anyone know of a plugin that will allow me to add a blog post faster? Ideally that adds a button (e.g. "New post") that I can click that will select these options and take me straight to the edit page screen.

That's exactly what I was looking for, and without even needing a plugin! Awesome! Thank you very much :-)
