You definitely should be able to do that, will look into it.
Not sure if you've already looked at it, but 'solution' button shows up now.
You had the 'badge' but not the actual 'moderator' permissions. Seems that my migration didn't fully bring that info over. I added a few of you guys that are active, but there are still some folks with "Grav Forum Moderators" that have barely posted.
