404 for menu items

I am setting up a new site. I have my Grav install at public_html/rinet.

Going to rinetwebdesign.com/rinet it all works fine. But I want to be able to access the website without /rinet.

Using change-site-url info page I made the required changes to system.yaml and I setup public_html/.htaccess as instructed.

The /public_html/rinet folder has the supplied .htaccess file with no changes.

With this set up only the front page loads. The "style guide" page at /demo gives a 404 error. Changing the /public_html/rinet/.htaccess ReWriteBase parameter has not helped.

Any help would be much appreciated. I'm tearing my hair out trying to get it to work properly from rinetwebdesign.com

Thanks.

I've sorted it out. I reinstalled it and it's fine now. I must've disturbed something while trying to fix it.
