Rename uploaded images and updating link

Hi,
I have some images in a blog, but they have been uploaded with a generic name, I'd like to give them a more specific one. The images are positioned via markdown inside item.md file with the ![](path/to/file) markdown formula. Is there an easy way to rename images and updating the link inside the file, or it should be done manually for each file?
